Young Life

01

What is it?

Young Life takes the gospel to students on middle and high school campuses by establishing a club that is especially focused on those who do not have access to church.  The clubs provide a fun, high-energy environment where leaders bring hope, encouragement, and promote self-esteem as they share about the impact of knowing Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  Relationships are further strengthened over the summer through activities such as outings and camps.

Sarah Neely

Cornerstone Lay Leader

While completing a Bible study Sarah was challenged to pray, see where God was moving and get on board! When she did, Sarah saw God impacting the hearts and lives of Long Beach youth. Sarah writes, “I joined the Board of Long Beach Young Life due to its commitment to reach middle and high school youth where they are, love them and invite them into relationship with Jesus.”

Where is it?

Cornerstone supports clubs in Long Beach at Franklin Middle School, Cabrillo H.S. and through its downtown club, which draws from Poly, Renaissance, IVA, Browning, and Wilson High Schools.

How can I get involved?

Serve

You can get involved by praying for students and leaders, serving as a driver, or providing snacks and food.  There are also opportunities to serve at Stanford Middle School and Hughes Middle School as both schools begin to establish clubs. Adults interested in serving with Long Beach Young Life are encouraged to contact Area Director, Jenny Dickson at jennylongbeachyounglife@gmail.com. You can also email missions@cclb.org for more information.
